Healthcare / Pediatric Mental Health
Multi-location outpatient practice (regional
provider)
Pennsylvania (Philadelphia metro, Bucks County, Lehigh Valley), Virginia (Centreville, Tysons, Fairfax), New Jersey (Mount Laurel)
Limited organic visibility for local pediatric mental health and ADHD searches; new patient discovery dependent on referrals rather than search
A well-regarded pediatric mental health practice had strong brand recognition but limited local
search discoverability. Three challenges blocked consistent new-patient inquiry growth from
organic channels.
Before the collaboration, most organic traffic arrived through branded searches: parents who already knew the practice by name. Traffic from non-branded local searches like “ADHD testing Allentown” or “child therapist Bucks County” was minimal. New patient acquisition depended almost entirely on referrals and word-of-mouth.
The practice had strong brand-level authority but lacked the location-specific service pages and condition-specific content needed to rank for local intent searches. A parent searching “autism evaluation King of Prussia” or “pediatric mental health services Centreville VA” would not find the practice in organic results without pages built directly for those queries.
Parents increasingly use AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to research where to take their child for mental health support. Without content structured to answer specific parental questions, the practice risked being absent from AI-generated recommendations in a high-trust, high-consideration category
| Challenge Area | Specific Impact | Business Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Branded traffic dependency | New patient discovery limited to referrals | Inquiry volume capped by word-of-mouth reach |
| No local service pages | Missing all local-intent searches | High-intent parents finding competitors first |
| Limited condition content | ADHD, autism, anxiety queries unaddressed | Losing patients at the research stage |
| AI search gap | No structured content for AI citation | Absent from AI-generated recommendations |
Driven Metrics implemented a local SEO and GEO strategy built around three content types: location-specific service pages for each condition and market, condition-authority pages, and educational content designed to capture parents at the research stage and earn AI citations.
Every service type received dedicated location-specific pages across all active markets. A parent searching "child therapist Bucks County" or "ADHD testing Centreville" would encounter a page written for that exact location and service combination, not a generic contact page. The VA/PA/NJ traffic segment was created on launch day and began building from zero immediately.
Condition-specific pages targeting ADHD testing, autism evaluation, child anxiety, and pediatric mental health launched for each market. Comparison and educational pages were also published: child psychiatrist vs. psychologist, signs a child needs therapy, and questions to ask a child therapist. These pages captured parents at the research stage and established the practice as a trusted authority before first contact.
Regional hub pages for Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia launched alongside additional informational content.¹ A youth mental health programs guide became one of the most consistently cited pages in AI-generated results, referenced by ChatGPT and Copilot across multiple months. AI session volume grew 3x from March to May 2026 as content aged and accumulated authority signals.
| Approach Element | Standard Method | Driven Metrics Method | Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local coverage | Homepage with market list | Dedicated location + condition pages | Ranks for city-specific, condition-specific queries |
| Condition content | General services overview | Individual condition pages per location | Captures ADHD, autism, anxiety searches separately |
| Educational content | Blog posts for general awareness | Research-stage content targeting parent questions | Earns AI citations, builds pre-conversion trust |
| AI visibility | No specific GEO optimization | Answer-format content for AI extraction | Cited by ChatGPT and Copilot for key queries |

Over 8 months, the practice saw sustained, compounding improvements across traffic, rankings, and patient inquiry volume.¹
The VA/PA/NJ traffic segment started from zero on October 15, 2025 and grew every single month without a single month-over-month decline.¹ Sessions by month: 1,535 in November, 1,866 in December, 2,269 in January, 2,898 in February, 3,259 in March, 3,667 in April, and 3,784 in May. These are 3,784 net-new monthly organic sessions in target markets that did not exist before the program began.
Pre-collaboration organic inquiries averaged 111 per month (87 to 114 range).¹ After content indexed in January 2026, inquiries climbed to 123, then 142 in February, 136 in March, and peaked at 149 in April, a 34% increase above baseline. May held strong at 141, the second-highest month of the campaign, confirming the uplift is durable and not a one-month
spike.
From 23 tracked keywords in January to 114 by June, with 32 at position #1 and 88 in the top 10.¹ First-place rankings cover local pediatric mental health searches, ADHD testing, child therapy, autism evaluation, and educational comparison queries, the exact categories most relevant to new patient discovery
The practice achieved a 7.55% average CTR across 705,100 GSC impressions, substantially above the healthcare industry average of 2 to 4%.² This confirms that ranked pages match
search intent precisely, not just accumulating impressions that do not convert to clicks.

For healthcare practices serving defined regional markets:
Local pages are the engine of local discovery. Branded authority alone does not capture parents searching “child therapist Bucks County” or “ADHD testing Centreville.” Dedicated location-condition pages are necessary to convert local search intent into patient inquiries.
Informational content earns AI citations. Pages that answer specific parental questions become citation sources in AI-generated answers, building trust before first contact. This channel grew 3x from March to May 2026 alone.¹
Inquiry growth is durable, not spike-based. The inquiry uplift from organic search persisted for every month of the campaign. May 2026 (141 inquiries) and partial June (113 through June 24) both confirmed that gains compound rather than fade as the engagement winds down.¹
Regional concentration is a strength. With 51.5% of all organic sessions coming from the 3 target states, traffic generated was highly qualified: families in markets where the practice accepts patients and can convert inquiries to appointments.¹
The VA/PA/NJ traffic segment grew to 1,535 sessions in its first full month (November 2025), starting from zero.¹ Organic inquiries rose above the pre-program baseline in January 2026, roughly 2.5 months after launch. Meaningful keyword ranking growth was visible by March 2026, when 84 keywords tracked and 28 ranked at position #1.
Two factors were most critical: building individual location-plus-condition pages for every market (rather than relying on general service pages), and publishing educational comparison content that established the practice as a trusted authority for parents in early research. The combination captured patients at both the decision-ready stage (local searches) and the exploration stage (informational searches), with educational content also driving AI citations.
Yes. The location-and-condition page model is effective at any scale. A single-location practice would focus the same architecture on one market while executing the full condition-specific content program. The result is a deeper content cluster for one geography rather than a broad cluster across multiple markets.
The main requirement was clinical review of condition-specific content for accuracy on ADHD, autism, anxiety, and pediatric mental health topics. This averaged approximately 1 to 2 hours per week. The practice also provided location and provider information for local pages.
The 7.55% average CTR significantly exceeds the healthcare industry average of 2 to 4%.² This confirms that ranked pages match search intent precisely rather than accumulating impressions that do not click. The 34% inquiry uplift above baseline represents meaningful new patient volume on top of a pre-existing organic inquiry stream.¹
This regional pediatric mental health practice’s results demonstrate that local SEO and GEO can drive sustained patient inquiry growth in a sensitive, high-consideration healthcare category. Starting from strong brand recognition but limited local discoverability, the practice built 22,880 target-market organic sessions from zero, grew organic inquiries 34% above baseline, earned 32 first-place keyword rankings, and established a presence in AI-generated search results.¹ All traffic, rankings, and AI citations built during the campaign continue compounding in value.
